Kanga Express Laundry Services is based in Cairns, providing marina laundry services and packages to boats and business on the waterfront. Our packages include pickup and delivery, stain removal, washing, drying, sorting and folding. As regular providers of laundry services to various boats, we understand the need for quick and reliable service.

We offer flexible services, ensuring your timetables can be adhered to. For those simply coming to shore overnight, we provide overnight turnaround times and guarantee delivery in time for your departure.

Items that we wash are not simply limited to clothing and linen.  We also wash fishing gear, personal laundry, cruise ship linen and more. Our industrial machines provide the capacity to wash and sanitise items thoroughly.

We use top-grade laundry detergents, sanitisers and fabric softeners, to provide superior hygiene and a fresh feel. Our driers run on gas, ensuring that items are not damaged, burnt or shrunk throughout the laundry process. We also offer commercial pricing, with further discounts for large loads and regularity of service.

Our Process:

Kanga Express Laundry Services will come down to the marina to collect any laundry that needs to be completed. We ensure items are in bags that clearly state the boat they are from and the turnaround time. After that, we take everything back to our laundry and begin the washing process.

We pre-soak any items that are particularly dirty, to remove stains and odours and kill any germs present. After that, they are washed in American-branded, Dexter industrial washing machines. These machines regularly hot wash commercial items up to 65 degrees, which contributes to the sanitising of items in the load.

After being washed, items are then dried in our industrial driers at 90 degrees. If any laundry is unable to be placed in the dryer, it will then be laid out in the sun, so that germs and bacteria are naturally removed. Items are then sorted, folded and packed for delivery. When we pack items, we pack them to the specifications you set for us – whether that be a specific number of towels per bag, or items folded a certain way. All laundry is delivered back to your boat on the Marina, ready for departure.
