Kanga Express Laundry services offer convenient, full-package laundry services to the Cairns region. We are locally owned and operated by Julie, a local Cairns mother with years of industry experience. Supporting their five children, Julie was working as a cleaner before her husband noticed a laundry-assistant job advertisement. She began working there and built a hard-earned reputation for herself, particularly amongst commercial clients. She started her own business with the vision of helping complete laundry for those who are tired and time-poor.

As a family business, we understand and respect busy lives.  Our customers are always first priority: we offer free pick-up and delivery, complete flexibility with time frames and always go the extra mile to make your life easier. Our processes are simple and streamlined, so that you only need one point of contact. Alongside full-package laundry services, we also offer ironing and act as an agent for a dry-cleaning company.

At Kanga Express Laundry Services, we want you to prioritise spending time with family and doing what you enjoy. Our pricing is competitive and inclusive of pick-up and delivery, soaking and stain removal, washing and sorting, drying and folding. Let us do the hard work for you, so that you can rest on your weekends and enjoy your time off, rather of spending it doing laundry.

We wash everything from clothing and linen to curtains and towels.  Anything that is in your home and needs washing, we can do it; even unusual items such as dog beds, rugs and kids toys. In-house, we carry a range of high-quality soaps, sanitisers and fabric-softeners that include hypo-allergenic options to protect your family. Offering flexible pick-up and drop-off times, we can work to your schedule and location to arrange free delivery. For regular clients, we provide commercial-equivalent pricing to keep your budget down, as well as the option to have your laundry services invoiced, as opposed to paying by EFTPOS on the day. Commercial Laundry Services:

Kanga Express Laundry Services provide the ultimate laundry and washing packages to businesses within the Cairns area. Having worked with commercial clients for so long, we are renowned for our unique and holistic understanding of what different businesses need. We appreciate the need for ultimate flexibility and so, offer free-of-charge pick-up and delivery, contracts to allow regular scheduling, and can provide same-day turnaround where required.

We ensure that we supply only the highest-quality commercial detergents, soaps, fabric softeners and sanitisers. These are all compliant with Australian industry standards.  Everything is washed in hot water (at the ASI-approved 65°c), sanitised using industrial cleaning agents and then dried at 90°c, with no risk of fabrics suffering from burning or shrinkage. We also package your clean laundry to your specifications, whether that be folded in a specific way, left flat to ensure no creasing, or so that it includes a certain number of items per bag.

Our Process:

All items bought to Kanga Express Laundry Services are washed in high-quality, professional washing machines from the American-brand, Dexter. These are used worldwide within hospitals and the hospitality industry, meaning that Kanga Express Laundry Services can ensure your items will be washed thoroughly and without damage. If any damage does occur during our service, we will replace the items for you. Our driers are solely gas-operated and cut-in and cut-out, to ensure that no damage occurs to the fabrics.

After we receive the laundry items, they are carefully inspected to ensure we pick up on any stains and difficult-to-clean items. If we are unsure of anything you’ve bought in, or believe that some are too soiled to clean properly, we make sure to get in touch with the you and provide alternative options.

Afterwards, the laundry is soaked or pre-washed, for optimal stain removal. We have several temperature-specific cold and hot wash options, along with a selection of different soaps, detergents, sanitising agents and fabric softeners, including hypo-allergenic options. If an item cannot go into our dryers, we have suitable facilities to dry items in the sun, so that bacteria and germs can still be killed off during the drying process.
